April 14, 2008 / by mustakim

I has been upgrade gos 2.9 by using Ubuntu 8.04. gOS based on Ubuntu 7.10, and I has finished all upgrade. I also make an aptoncd everytime after upgrade because it crash for three times. Firstly, a kernel crash. Secondly, it cannot detected my huawei (airprime disturbing connection). and thirdly, kernel have no trouble but something missing and cannot be download such as xmms, python, and lost my file on /boot/grub. Well after three times I got trouble, now I have a perfect cd aptoncd size 680MB.

How to upgrade distribution?

$ sudo sed -i "s/gutsy/hardy/g" /etc/apt/sources.list
$ sudo aptitude update
$ sudo aptitude dist-upgrade
