Youth catches up with some youngsters who believe that you are never too old for Halloween. Everone loves Halloween. Kid was often invited to Halloween parties (celebrated worldwide on Oct 31) thrown by her mother’s friends and remembers some of them as being the best times of her life. Man and women also doesn’t feel too old to enjoy the fun and excitement Halloween still brings.
Every year, without fail, all youth would decorate their home with Halloween knick-knacks to evoke the festive spirit, and get dressed up in costumes they either rent or make themselves.
They really love Halloween because this is the time that they get to dress up crazily and no one will laugh at them.
Every corner of the house (especially at Melaka and Kuala Lumpur) will be filled with carved pumpkins, toys, candles and most importantly, candies so that everyone at home could immerse themselves in the true spirit of Halloween.
From left: Natalee, Geena and Lyn Li working together to carve perfect Jack-O’-Lanterns.
It’s unfortunate that Malaysians don’t seem to fully enjoy Halloween. It’ll be really great if everyone was into it and we could go trick-or-treating around the neighbourhood. Then we could get lots of candies.
